Debs & James’ family home wedding in Bristol

Debs and James are the kind of couple who live life with love, laughter and a whole heap of crazy energy – they have 4 amazing children between them. They know exactly what they want and are unapologetically themselves in the most wonderful way.

From our very first meeting, I knew their wedding would be one to remember. The location alone was a huge challenge, they had purchased a piece of land overlooking the iconic Clifton Suspension Bridge in Bristol. At the time, it was completely derelict: difficult access, uneven ground, and frankly unsightly. But for Debs and James, it was the only place they wanted to marry. This was where they would one day build their dream family home, so it was deeply personal and meaningful.

Instead of fighting the raw landscape, we worked with it. Over the course of a year, we transformed the space into a wildflower meadow, blending rustic surroundings with elegant design. For the celebration itself, we installed a stunning Sperry marquee – the perfect choice for an at-home wedding, offering light-filled elegance with sweeping views over the meadow and bridge. James was keen on a modern monochrome wedding style, so we layered clean black-and-white details with natural textures to create something truly unique.

The result? A breathtaking marquee wedding at home in Bristol that felt entirely their own. Every detail reflected who they are: fun, fearless and full of heart. Today, watching them build their future on the very land where they said their vows feels extra special. It was worth every challenge, every stuck vehicle, and every late night – because what we created together was truly a once-in-a-lifetime wedding.
