Mari & Ryan’s Intimate London Wedding at The Lanesborough

Mari and Ryan were the ultimate comeback couple. We had to move their wedding not once, but twice due to Covid, and like so many people, they eventually lost a little enthusiasm and put plans on hold. But by 2023, they decided enough was enough. In just six weeks, we created a truly gorgeous December wedding in London.

The day began with a heartfelt ceremony at Orleans House Gallery in Richmond. Flooded with natural light, this beautiful and intimate space was the perfect location – close to home and just right for them.

Afterwards, we travelled across London to The Lanesborough, one of Belgravia’s most iconic hotels. I adore the Belgravia Room: it’s traditional yet a little quirky, with impeccable service and incredible food that’s hard to beat for a central London wedding. We styled the space with elegant florals, flickering candles, and soft dappled light, creating a warm and romantic atmosphere.

Ryan’s love of competition added a playful twist to the evening, we incorporated a lively Mr and Mrs quiz during dinner, which had everyone laughing. He was one of our most involved grooms, full of creative ideas and endless questions that kept us on our toes. We miss him already.

Winter weddings in London will always hold a special place in my heart. There’s something magical about the season, and Mari and Ryan’s celebration at The Lanesborough was truly one of the best.
